| Wind it up and watch as the gondolas
rotate around. This is a classic tin windup toy that is hand
made and hand assembled. The tin lithographed parts are held
together with tin tabs that are inserted into slots and bent by
hand to hold in place. Some parts are held in place by screws with
hand tightened brass nuts. Sometimes during shipping some parts
may come loose so some assembly is required. The Ferris Wheel is
tested and checked for completeness before shipping.
If some parts come loose during shipping be sure to check the
packaging carefully because some of the assembly parts are very
small and will be needed for reassembly. The wheel may
require some adjustment before it will rotate without touching the
sides. This adjustment is done prior to shipping but many
times during shipping the wheel will go out of round and require
readjustment. It is shipped in a plain white box that is not
suitable for display. Some of the parts will pierce the box
during shipping so for this reason it should be considered
unboxed. |
