Who has access to your personally identifiable information?

Your customer data is available to employees of RetroToys.com and necessary contractors in order to process your request for information or process your on-line purchase or to process a credit card transaction.

RetroToys.com and all of our eighty plus online stores out-source the secure portion of our web site to VCart which encrypts your personal information including credit card information and transmits that encrypted information to AuthorizeNet. AuthorizeNet process the credit card information and issues the approval or decline of your credit card transaction.  RetroToys.com does not receive your credit card information. We only receive the credit card approval codes and the information necessary to fill your order.  We do not store your credit card information but we do store all the other information collected when you place your order or request information.

Shopping online with RetroToys.com or any of our other eighty plus online stores is more secure than shopping at your local brick and mortar toy store.  When you purchase items at your local toy story with your credit card your personal information including your credit card number is stored insecurely on register tapes, receipts and unsecured computer data bases.  This information in transmitted over insecure phone lines and viewed in many cases by minimum wage employees. Personal identity theft and stolen credit card numbers are taken from brick and mortar stores more than ten times more often than from online stores.  When you purchase online from RetroToys.com or any of our other online stores your credit card information is NEVER receive or view by any of our employees unless you request a credit.  When you request a credit your credit card information is only view by one of two top level administrators.

How and when is information disclosed to 3rd parties?

In general, RetroToys.com does not disclose your personally identifiable information to any third party without first receiving your permission or in special situations described below, such as to comply with the law or administer the site. RetroToys.com will never make your personally identifiable information available to other companies for promotional reasons without your permission .
